You will then be able to discover the must-see monuments and museums such as the Pantheon and the Cluny Museum, but also stop at the Luxembourg Garden, famous for having been an inspiration for authors and painters like Renoir, Matisse, or Van Gogh.

To the east, there is the Jardin des Plantes and its impressive Museum of Natural History where people enjoy strolling to soak up the ambient atmosphere. In summer in its flower-filled paths, in winter in its grand and wooded galleries.

Monte Cristo Hotel Paris 5 - The Pantheon Paris

The Pantheon

Located on the top of the Sainte-Geneviève hill, the Pantheon was once a church dedicated to the patron saint of Paris and today the most famous necropolis of the great figures of the Republic.
This is also where our author Alexandre Dumas has rested since 2002. The view of Paris from the Dome's colonnade alone is worth the visit.

The Catacombs of Paris

The Catacombs of Paris are a unique and astonishing place. Even lower than the subway or sewers, this gigantic ossuary composed like a labyrinth houses 6 million bones from various Parisian cemeteries.
The ambient temperature does not exceed 15 degrees, and the frescoes and sculptures made of skulls and bones continue to give us chills. An opening to another world, located here, just beneath our feet.
