The setting and the team

Hôtel Monte Cristo cultivates the memory of Alexandre Dumas. An academician and novelist, the man born in 1802 cultivated many other talents and passions, including a love of travel. With its wood panelling, velvet and plants, Bar 1802 evokes the real or imagined exoticism of the 19th century. It is in this setting that our team of specialists and enthusiasts thrives. Sommeliers and mixologists, they know better than anyone how to describe rum, guide you through its discovery and share their favourites.

Tastings for everyone

Several tastings are available to suit every preference. For an introduction, choose the Rum Discovery, every day from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. In groups of up to six people and over 30 minutes, taste three terroirs for a quick trip around the world. Knowledgeable enthusiasts will opt for the Cuvée 1802. This tasting of six cuvées, also in groups of six, lasts one hour. Finally, the 1802 x Flor de Cana Masterclasses, held every Saturday, combine theory and practice and take you on a true journey through the senses.
