In the heart of the oldest district of Paris stands the Hotel Monte Cristo, a unique establishment where the excellence of premium service is combined with a daring and innovative aesthetic. On the weekends of the 5th and 6th, and the 12th and 13th of September, the Hotel Monte Cristo will be transformed under the auspices of the Bar 1802 into a private tasting room dedicated to rum.

Some 38 partner houses will present the results of their savoir-faire for your delectation. They’ll be showcased in the various rooms of the hotel, where you can visit them.

In the charming surroundings of our 4-star hotel, which has chosen the work of Alexandre Dumas as a source of inspiration, you and your palate can explore the world of rum. During the event, the hotel reception will become a pop-up boutique run by two rum experts. The 1802, the first rum bar in Paris

Nestled within the Hotel Monte Cristo, the Bar 1802 is the first dedicated rum bar in Paris. For enthusiasts, it’s a paradise for the senses. Named 1802 in homage to the birth date of Alexandre Dumas, the decor of the bar is a mosaic that draws from various cultures. The drinks menu is in keeping with the decor, offering nearly 500 cane spirits sourced from Guadeloupe to Japan.
