A Cuban trip to the Eminente Hotel
Want to explore the Caribbean and immerse yourself in Cuban culture overnight, but without jet lag? This is the dream that the Hotel Monte Cristo and Eminente rum fulfil for you. Our establishment in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, a short stroll from the Jardin des Plantes, is undergoing a complete transformation to become, until December 12th, a Cuban casa particular. Join us on this adventure!
The illusion begins in the street, where the Haussmannian facade of your Hotel Monte Cristo has been replaced by a trompe-l'oeil. Here you are faced with a beautiful ochre colonial house set amidst tropical vegetation. Step through the door and all the decor falls into place. Plants, scents, musical ambiance; everything evokes the beautiful crocodile-shaped island and its unique culture. You are in the Eminente Hotel. There remains just one crucial choice: whether to start with a dip in the tropical swimming pool or immediately head to the Bar 1802 to taste the cocktail that the head bartender has prepared for you.
A journey of the senses and the taste buds
A stay at the Eminente Hotel will be an opportunity to discover this new kid on the rum market, born from the creativity and savoir-faire of a young Cuban rum master. Adrian Nino, the head barman of the 1802, renowned for his 700 rum references, will invite you to taste one of the cocktails that this nectar inspired him to create. In the kitchen, Cuban chef Annabelle Cantarero concocts an assortment of the finest specialties from her country: grilled octopus, prawns flambéed with Eminente, flambéed bananas and choco-passion ice cream. Even in your room and at breakfast, you’ll find the decor and atmosphere of the guesthouses of the Viñales Valley.
Play with contrasts and take advantage of the Parisian autumn to experience a Cuban break close to Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Montparnasse! Never has your Hotel Monte Cristo been so exotic.
